ABOUT TERUAKI HOMMA

After graduating from Nihon University School of Dentistry in 2004, Dr. Teruiaki Homma worked as a general dentist at the Homma Dental Group. After a year and a half of clinical practice, he studied abroad at New York University (NYU) in the United States. Following his studies in aesthetic dentistry in the comprehensive dentistry department, he specialized in implant periodontics and trained under Dr. Dennis Tarnow, a renowned figure in the implant field. After graduating from the same department, he served as a clinical instructor in the comprehensive dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, and implant dentistry departments, mentoring junior colleagues.
In 2010, he returned to Japan and resumed his practice at the Homma Dental Group. Concurrently, he undertook responsibilities such as presenting at international conferences, interpreting, and translating.
In 2011, he established the FIST training program designated by the ICOI International Congress of Oral Implantologists, actively involved in nurturing future implantologists.
In 2014, he was invited to speak at the world’s largest international implantology conference and received an award for his contributions to the hygienist division. Currently, he receives lecture requests from universities and associations worldwide, expanding his sphere of influence.
As of 2024, he serves as the chairman and conducts consultations at the Homma Dental Group’s “Shin-Matsudo Comprehensive Dental Clinic,” “Orient Dental Clinic,” “Chihara Dental Clinic,” “Isobe Dental Clinic,” “Asumi Comprehensive Dental Clinic,” and “Katsuura Comprehensive Dental Clinic.”

With extensive clinical experience in both the United States and Japan, Dr. Teruiaki Homma has successfully performed thousands of implant surgeries without incident. He excels not only in functional aspects but also in techniques to revive teeth aesthetically, proposing minimally invasive treatments utilizing digital technology.

Moreover, he provides “open medical care” tailored to the individual circumstances of each patient at all affiliated clinics, including treatment in English, support for individuals with disabilities, age-appropriate treatment from young children to the elderly, and home medical care for those who find it difficult to visit clinics.

His motto is to provide cutting-edge medical care with minimal burden on patients’ bodies and perform surgeries with minimal pain and swelling. He is often recommended by fellow dentists in the industry, striving to meet the expectations and trust of patients who say, “If it’s implants, it’s Dr. Homma,” by continuously honing his skills.
